Juan José Astigarraga planted the seed of what is today Astiagarraga Kit Line. He was a logger who was committed body and soul to knowing and managing the forests around us.

In his workshop, he made wooden trestles and communicated his passion to family and colleagues. Thanks to his work, Astigarraga Kit Line has strong roots that anchor it to the land and allow it to grow securely.

This year we gave free rein to our characteristic creativity. We are a business that is known for its innovation. Our catalogue began to be filled with furniture with different finishes and colours that were fashionable at the time. To take that major step forward, we expanded our manufacturing facilities and added a coating plant to ensure the quality of our products.

We then entered a period of launching, expanding and establishing our product ranges in Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, Germany and Denmark.

We are now leaders in trestles!

And we still are, thanks to opening a new industrial building with new machinery that allowed us to manufacture different models of solid pine trestle.

From then, we have 17,000 square metres of production facilities and 5,500 square metres of space for the natural drying of wood.

The economic crisis in Spain made us stronger. With much hard work and sacrifice we overcame the crisis and our internationalisation began to bear fruit, reaching around 70% of turnover.

We were already established in France and we went on to build strong sales teams in Italy and Germany.

This was the year our international success was recognised along with our unceasing commitment to the manufacture of products using sustainable timber.

We were awarded the Internationalisation Prize by the Chamber of Commerce. At the same time, we have achieved Ecolabel certification.
