The Euskalduna in Bilbao has been the epicentre of the circular economy in Europe with the celebration of the Basque Circular Summit (BCS), from 2 April to today. This congress, which brings together international and local experts in sustainability and the circular economy, has provided a platform for discussing the main trends and challenges of integrating circularity into business. It has also served as a showcase for the innovations that Basque companies are promoting in this field.
This year, Astigarraga Kit Line did not miss the event, showing three products that reflect its commitment to sustainability and the circular economy: the Dinamic wardrobe, the Curie children’s table and the Curie children’s chairs. All of them designed with high quality materials and ecological criteria, in line with the event’s objective of promoting circular solutions that favour the environment.

A congress of international relevance: A look at the circular economy in the Basque Country
The Basque Circular Summit 2025 brought together business leaders, experts from the European Commission and representatives from the European Environment Agency. The first day, opened by the lehendakari (Basque First Minister), Imanol Pradales, focused on the challenges facing the circular economy in the Basque Country and Europe. In his speech, the lehendakari highlighted the joint efforts of the Basque Country to become a benchmark in the decarbonisation process and in the transition towards a more sustainable model.

During the Basque Circular Forum, crucial topics such as digitalisation for circularity, the creation of new business models and the design of sustainable products were discussed. The forum analysed how Basque companies must adapt to new regulatory developments and the European Commission’s recently approved Clean Industrial Pact to anticipate global challenges.
