The ‘Zirkularrak-Ciculares’ exhibition of circular-economy products manufactured in the Basque Country opens today at the Europa Conference Centre in Vitoria-Gasteiz until Sunday 2 October. Astigarraga Kit Line is participating in this exhibition with three articles made of solid pine wood: the Gala bookcase, the Glam easel and one of the Rioja series wine racks. A selection of our company’s products whose hallmark is always the use of local wood certified with the labels PEFC and Ecolabel. A guarantee that everything produced at the Azpeitia factory in Gipuzkoa meets the strictest criteria of sustainability and respect for the environment.

Ecodesign

The exhibition, which will tour different cities, brings together a wide variety of products whose production has employed eco-design methodologies with a life-cycle approach and which, therefore, have significantly minimised their environmental impact. The Basque Country, with more than 20 years of know-how in applying environmental criteria from the design and development phase of products, leads the production of eco-designed products and services in Spain and is considered a benchmark region in Southern Europe, especially in the industrial field.

The exhibition, organised by Ihobe, the Public Environmental Management Company attached to the Basque Government’s Department of Economic Development, Sustainability and the Environment, is taking place within the framework of Asteklima, the Basque Country Climate and Energy Week and the Sustainable Urban Models Summit, a commemorative meeting on the 10th anniversary of the Green Capital at the Europa Conference Centre.

Circular economy

In addition to Astigarraga Kit Line natural wood furniture, the exhibition includes more than 140 products related to the value chains present in the Basque Country, such as machinery, metal, transport, furniture, automotive, consumer goods, chemicals, food, the electrical-electronic sector and construction materials. Visitors will thus have a comprehensive view of the potential of eco-design in any sector of business activity and will be able to recognise the work and commitment of Basque companies in the field of the circular economy.

The exhibition has daily guided tours for visitors to learn about the different environmental improvement strategies that have been implemented. If you would like more information on all the activities to be carried out, we recommend you visit the Ihobe website, where you can consult the full programme of the Basque Country Climate and Energy Week. The exhibition ‘Zirkularrak-Circulars’ can be seen from Monday to Saturday, from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00 and on Sundays, 25th September and 2nd October, between 10:00 and 14:00.

Don’t miss it!
